Obama Completes Anti-Life 'Hat Trick'

CHICAGO – CatholicVote.org President Brian Burch issued the following statement following the announcement that President Obama will sign an Executive Order Monday to allow federal taxpayer dollars to be used on unethical embryo-killing research:
"The latest announcement by the Obama Administration should make every American shudder. In just one week, President Obama nominated the most pro-abortion governor in the country as his Health Secretary, proposed to rescind an important conscience clause for health care workers, and now has announced that he will sign an Executive Order compelling taxpayers to support unproven research that holds no scientific promise and destroys unborn life. President Obama has just completed the most anti-life week in American political history – an 'anti-life hat trick.'
"This week's actions puts to shame Catholics like Doug Kmiec who shrilled for Barack Obama. The decisions made this week by Barack Obama, coupled with his announcement in January to spend foreign aid dollars on abortion organizations, puts to rest any doubt: Barack Obama is most pro-abortion president in our nation's history."
